Their dedication to preserving their land and culture is not just an environmental mission; it is a call for all of us to rethink our relationship with the planet and each other.
This commitment extends to the next generation. Sabine, our youngest daughter, is using her Cal Poly Business Degree, and leadership role in Women In Business, to support Bioma, a venture studio launched by Fundación Pachamama that helps develop sustainable startups in the Amazon in partnership with local communities, ensuring a share of equity returns to conservation efforts. Meanwhile, Skylar, drawing on her studies in UCLA's World Arts and Culture, is helping these ventures navigate integration into the U.S. market, focusing on holistic wellness and the food industry. Their journey began at Pacific Primary, a school whose philosophy is rooted in Love, Kindness, and Compassion. The values instilled there have shaped their dedication to global impact, and we've proudly continued to support Pacific Primary’s fundraisers for many years, from Texas Hold'em Tournaments to serving on the school's Board.
